Award: Tuition and up to $18,000 stipend; renewable for a total of three years of funding
Field: humanities, social sciences, natural sciences (including law, medicine, engineering, architecture or other formal professional training)
Eligibility: U.S. citizens enrolled in designated insitututions of higher learning at the time of application; demonstrated financial need (as shownn by completing the FAFSA); outstanding academic record; studies must be conducted in the U.S.
The funding agency permits a total of 3 applications per school, so the Office of Graduate Fellowships and Awards Administration will handle the process of collecting Penn State student applications and managing a down-select, as necessary. Applications should **not** be submitted directly to the funding organization. Questions or requests for application materials should be directed to the attention of Barbara Struble. Application materials must be submitted to the Office of Graduate Fellowships and Awards Administration by the internal deadline of January 14, 2014. All packages must be submitted by hard copy and precisely as outlined in the application instructions (letters of reference may be submitted separately at the discretion of the writer). Incomplete or late submissions will not be considered. All applicants will be notified of their nomination status in late-January. General award details are available on the referenced website.
