Annual award based on the essay theme: "Education and a Free Society." Goal is to support graduate students planning to teach at the college level (especially those who wish to integrate the idea of liberal arts education with their teaching efforts). Those attending pre-professional (medical, law, divinity, business, etc.) schools are ineligible.
